Who We Are
Kat is a curator and helps run the Adobe Books Backroom Gallery in San Francisco. She received her M.A. in art history at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University and has worked at the San Jose Museum of Art, with the U.S. Pavilion at the 2012 Venice International Architecture Biennale, MoMA and the Brooklyn Museum. She believes philosophy and art are vital to examining the human condition because they provide us the opportunity to slow down and think about our worldviews and connections with others. Through projects with The Seeking Shop, she hopes to discover and spread helpful ways of thinking that improve our relationships with ourselves and others.

Karen is an arts marketer at the San Jose Museum of art. She has been active in the Bay Area art scene for the past few years, working and volunteering at museums, art centers, grassroots arts organizations, as well as assisting independent curators. In a previous lifetime, she assumed the role of a commercial lender, in which she navigated the turbulent waters of corporate banking and managed all things money related other than her own. Karen is developing a series of philosophical workshops on the art of living. She hopes to bring forth her interests in art, social change, community building, and human development to The Seeking Shop.

Tracy received her M.S. in management science and engineering at Stanford University. Tracy has witnessed first-hand the power of deep human connections through her work as General Manager of an emotion-driven social network. In the past, she has also been a strategy consultant and product manager. When Tracy is not teaching her pet bunny new tricks, she can be found sipping a warm chai latte while getting cozy with a new book. Tracy hopes to inspire creative philosophical dialogue and shared meaning through The Seeking Shop.
